- Carbon sequestration in the material: it is estimated that one cubic metre of wood sequesters about 0.9 tonnes of CO₂
- A life-cycle-efficient option: instead of non-renewable building materials, timber structures offer both lower production emissions and a long-term carbon pool.
- Wood construction is a safe option: in terms of fire safety, wood construction is a safe option for building users. In addition, the use of wood helps to improve indoor air quality.
